This duo is back again for 2002. And as you see from the tracklisting, this was around the time Jay & Nas beefing with each other. Personally, i didnt like the fact they didnt like each other. I wish they would of squashed that beef years ago, cause they could of made some great music in the 90's. But I remember the 1st time i heard Ether was a Kay Slay tape, i was blown away. I was out of words. Then I remember hearing Super ugly on the radio in VA, and the response to that record wasnt that great. So it was what it was. but im glad its all good now.

Their battle was good for hip hop!! They both needed it and so did hip hop!!How else would you describe the face of East Coast hip hop as we know it being attacked by one of the potentials who could've easily been where the king was standing? Nas was on the downside of his career and everyone was pretty fed up with his lack of consistency in puttin out a descent album on the regular. Jay Z on the other hand emerged when Big Poppa and Tupac R.I.P took their tragic falls.Ether was the best fire Nas ever spit and it shocked many who thought he was just a tight lyricist when he wanted to be. Jay Z on the other hand had a mean flow but never really the killer battle type, he just overwhelmed us with his consistency !!! The battle had a winner in hip hop because it sparked many other beefs to follow for minute it gave me that mid 80's feel 4 real!!And thennnnnnnnn and nowwwwwwwww!!! Damn it was good while it lasted hgh!!!
