When the year '96 first started to bubble, Funk Flex tried starting a new movement. He went hard at doing it, promoted it on every interview he did, on tapes and in the Tunnel. What was that movement?
No Drinks in '96! By him being a DJ every Sunday at the Tunnel, he saw in the past years that guys was buyin all the ladies drinks just to holler at them or get them to talk. He saw how the ladies was accepting the drinks, drunk them and quickly dashed without payin the guy no attention! Flex decided he had to put a end to this, so he started his own campaign in '96 with No Drinks. And it really makes sense cause back then we always bought the ladies drinks tryin to holla, its was us coming off bread that we worked hard for and the ladies wasnt paying at all! Back then it was the norm, now? its pretty much the same but at little better. But Funk Flex saw the bigger picture, and even though this was the beginning of the Big Willie Era, he still wasnt buyin no Drinks!
