When it comes to blends i was hesitant at the beginning. I just didnt care for them or liked them at all. But when i started this blog in '08 i was put on by a few djs that made blends listenable. The obvious is Ron G, DJ Juice & Doggtime. But another DJ name gets rarely mentioned and his tapes be on point, heck even Large Professor name dropped him on ATCQ's Midnight Marauders LP. His name is Grandmaster Vic and he definitely has the skills to pay the bills, check him out! Oh and this tape isnt on the net either.

Funkmaster Flex & Lil Cease- Live At The Tunnel (1999) (Mixtape)
U requested it so we rewind!! To me alot of people slept on Lil Cease's LP back in '99. I thought it was a great LP, matter of fact in the year end issue of the Source mag in '99 it was one of the most slept-on LPs of the year! So that should say somethin. I copped the LP right when it came out and i still have my orig. copy! "Play Around" was the 1st single and it was a hot one, i was bangin that track hard! Well if u dont know by now, back then during the Tunnel era whenever a dope artist was gettin ready to drop his LP they go straight to the Tunnel the day of or before to promote it. It was a standard ritual back then, u just had to do it so the whole NYC can feel what u doin. And on this night Lil Cease and Junior Mafia come thru to show love to the people while celebrating his upcoming LP release. My senior year was '99 so everytime i hear this it bring back memories. Classic hip-hop right here.

Funkmaster Flex & Dream Team- Live At The Tunnel (1997) (Mixtape)
U requested it so we rewind! Yall know how it was in the Tunnel, it was always live and anything could pop off in there. But neither than that if u was there then some will say it was the best night of their life in there. There's tons of myths & stories about the Tunnel and that should give u a idea about how it was in there. On this Sunday night its just another night of Funk Flex doin his thing back in '97. Enjoy!

Lazy K- New York 2000 (Mixtape)
U requested it so we rewind!! Other than Jazzy Joyce, Lazy K is the only other female to put out dope tapes in the mixtape game. And this tape showcases he skills on 1's & 2's. We takin yall back to 2000 when hip-hop was still exclusive & hot. Great memories.

BET: Rap City Tha Bassment Best Of The Booth Pt. 1 (Video)
Well this is a compilation i put together of past freestyles from Rap City Tha Bassment with Big Tigger. Not Rap City with Mad Linx or Big/Fat Nicks or DJ Q (or whatvever his name was). BET passed the paton to Big Tigger from Big Lez & Joe Clair in Sept. 1999 and he held it down until the middle of 2005. Big Tigger was a great host of the show cause he was cool wit everybody and he did not show no bias's to anyone. Plus he always killed it in the booth and sometimes outshined most emcees who was in there. I missed the early years of him hosting the show cause of my military duties, so from Sept. 1999- beginning of 2001 i only caught like 2-5 episodes. Which kinda sucks but times were movin fast at that time. But now im on the hunt for those episodes so please holla at me if u have any of them!! E-mail me at dipsetgunit456@aol.com!! Ok, so here's the MC's featured in this segment.....Mobb deep, Major Figgaz, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg & Doggy's Angels, Redman, Method Man, Nelly & The St. Lunatics, WC, 50 Cent, DMX, Drag-On, Eminem & D12, Shyne, Mystikal, Bow Wow, CNN & Beanie Sigel. Part 2 comin next week!! Holla!
